When I started IIP in 2006 I already thought of FUGA for a few years. Since 2001 it became clear to me how to do it. The magnitude of the project and timing aspects made me wait until I figured it out. If I would have known how hard it was to get the first bit in place, I might have decided to do something else. But now in 2010 the first bit is here and we are getting ready for phase 2. Its hard, its difficult. Working with so many people, businesses, ego's, stupidity of others and most important stupidity of myself, makes it even harder. The complexity and adoption barrier where totally underestimated by me and many involved. The investment to get to this point was huge and without the support of many this would have never been possible. My reality today is a weird one. Proud to have come to this point, but disappointed to find myself in a situation where I find that business reality can be a lot tougher then me myself and I. A learning experience in managing expectations like this was the last day of my life. On this blog I wrote about the music business and the change to a digital world for a couple of years. It was hard for me to explain how FUGA was going to help, but I hope when watching this 10 minute video you will all understand. Soon our new website will launch and we can unfold what else is up our sleave. This video is just a sneak preview of whats on the way.
