In Holland our government is busy talking and making plans to let people work after 65. The strange thing is that they want to help our economy. I am not a very knowledgeable guy in this space, but think its retarded. The reason is two folded.
1. Who wants to employ 65+ person, both public and private sector just don't do this;
2. Isn't there a better way to help the economy?
The first is I think the best argument to not spend any time and money on this issue. Just be flexible. If people have a job and want to work longer, just let them, problem solved. The second is clearly the most important thing to think about. Go to a 24/7 economy and support entrepreneurs more. This will help our country to become more competitive and generate more cash.
I get very sad of our government, they are the worst in a century. No imagination and only politics. They are to blame for the economic crisis more then anybody else. They were told it was going to be bad and did nothing but telling the public it would all be fine. Now they behave like letting people work just before they turn cold is a solution that needs immidiate attention. STRANGE!
