Does not surprise me at all. What I don't understand is that this becomes news after the trial. Is nobody paying attention? The judge believes that this fact doesn't influence his call. It's a strange world out there.  

Jail House Rock Pirates

Billboard It has taken a long time, but now things will move faster, also on a global scale. When starting this blog years ago I said that legislators would come into action and prosecute those that infringe copyrights and involve in or facilitate other infringements of intellectual property misdemeanors. I also said that we should change laws that were made almost a century ago and create a new framework for dealing with IP in a digital world, where making a copy is effortless. The guys behind the Pirate Bay are now the media puppets for those that should protect all of us, but have become so damn lazy over the last centuries. Again people are put in jail as an example, our civilization suffers from assholes that dont want change because this would mean lost power. I hope the guys from The Pirate Bay will soon be back with there families and keep developing great technology. Maybe one day laws will change and sanity and civilization will be back at the courts and political arenas around the world. First things first. We at IIP keep building the new music and media industry eco system that allows all kinds of use and creates a transparrent market place for creators, businesses and consumers. Keep Rocking!

Hamburg

Drove to Hamburg this morning, 4 hours on the 'autobahn'. Hamburg is an amazing city, with lots of bridges and nice places to hang around the water. Back on the train, another 5 hours and more easy, but less freedom ;-)
