Merry Christmas everybody

It's almost time to switch of for a couple of days and think about life, work and everything in between. 2007 was a fantastic, hectic, sad, great, busy, weird, hard, soft, full of love, up, down, left, right.. year. WOW what a roller coaster and what a great adventure. For all of you out there, Thanks for a wonderful year and may the force be with you in 2008!

NY

Last week I was in NY and it was cold, just like Amsterdam ;-) Thanks John, Billy, Mark, Hugh, Bill, Patrick, Adam, Clay and everybody else I met for a great time and it seems like IIP will be US minded for the coming period. A special thanks for everybody at the party Thursday night. It's rare to meet a crowd you don't know, that's so nice and open. I had great fun and look frwd seeing you all in Amsterdam. Bowling alleys in your playhouse is a bit decadent though ;-)

Universal is also letting go of DRM, 2 down, 2 to go

Universal has been one of the two major labels to drop DRM (along with the UK's EMI), but its support of the MP3 format has been experimental. Should the experiment not go well, Universal has always reserved the right to slap the padlocks back on its tunes. It has also followed NBC's lead in snubbing iTunes, offering its DRM-free tracks only to retailers like Amazon and Wal-Mart. Now, the Universal subsidiary Deutsche Grammophon has announced a plan to drop DRM, and it's taking another page from the NBC playbook: offering this content on its own site. >> ARS

Rugby

This weekend I was at a Rugby game in twickenham, between the Barbarians and South Africa. Great game and I'm no longer a Rugby Virgin. Thanks Phil for inviting me, was great fun ;-)
