The week ends early

The first week after a short break was very interesting. What to do in my new job now IIP has a new CEO? It's the first time I made this decision at this stage of the company and I believe it is a very wise decision, but what do I do? First thing is talking to people that have been here before and proved to be very successful  in managing companies. They said I had to watch out that the company is not managed  in a too rigid manner and that I have to learn to let go of it all and reinvent myself.  So that's what I am doing.  All these things never come alone, my private life is changing as fast as my business life ;-) I look frwd building this life time based on good energy, good people and good ideas. The best idea I had in years will soon be a reality that I have yearned for a long time, maybe without knowing it. The music industry is developing exactly as we thought it would do and the good news is  that FUGA is ready to launch. This means we will get the chance to prove our point and expand the business of our clients and at the same time make them operate at lower cost. WOW that's a promise, can IIP deliver on that. YES we can. We have a dedicated team with more brain power than one would need to build a rocket and a network of ambassadors to take us to the right people and companies. I am very proud of my team, my supervisory board and all the stakeholders in this great venture. A day in our office is becoming more inspiring every time we get in, new people, new clients, new opportunities and we become a company to take seriously... Thanks everybody, lets work even harder and smarter to make this the number one media technology company in the universe...

FUGA is alive and kicking

Imagine a your digital business as easy as setting up an account with your bank and be able to transfer your music to any other account in any format, with meta data in any configuration and receive reports about the usage all across the value chain..... Last Friday it became reality and we at IIP are so happy to have made this milestone. I am so proud of my team and everybody that has helped to get here. Thanks!

Vacation

Almost ready for a week of silence. Haven't seen my 1,5 year old son for 6 months and tomorrow he will be back in the Netherlands. I am a bit nervous but can't wait to kiss and hug my little OZ prince. Last year has been full of everything, feeling life run through every day and every night. IIP is ready to enter the next phase and it's time for me to switch of for a week and spend time with the ones I love. So no computers for 7 days, hope I survive ;-)

EMI on the way to become the most advanced digital player in the market

The first step to a prosperous digital music future was made by most independent record labels that already sold their music DRM free, but EMI is the first of the 4 majors to sell their music without DRM. I beleive they are showing courage and the ability to adapt to the new business reality. I know several people within EMI and am happy to see they have made this decision. It's all about vision, passion and creating the future, true leaders show 'balls' and  lead an industry by being first.  The thing I am curious about is who is next and how much will the results differ in 6 months from now?
