Microsoft ZUNE : MS iZUNES??

Yes it is confirmed! Microsoft is working on the iPOD killer, ZUNE.. We have been waiting for MS to get the iPOD killer ready for 6 years now and together with the launch of URGE they must have the leathal weapon against iTUNES or not? I installed URGE the other day and now I can send my laptop to the repair store. Why is Microsoft not able to create something original, compelling and safe for your computer in the field of music? Conclusion? I think that they lack the creative force and lack the ambition to actually create something super cool for the user. Instead they look at the market value, the share Apple has and think we want that money. TIP: Forget Apple for a while, think music, hire crazy creative music lovers and let them think of something absolutely wonderful for any fan of music.

A big milestone for IIP today, we welcome a new member to our team. She will be responsible for operations, yihaa! Guys like me need to be structured and that's exactely what's going on ;-) VIVA!

India

Yesterday I met with a great guy from Dehli. He is a venture capital guy and runs a business focussed on Europe and India. I have to say that it keeps surprising me to see the great talent India has and hope that the western world will do more than just follow the opportunity to make money. Their is much more to get from India and economic growth is just a small part of what we can really achieve together. Why do we fear the power to be? Sometimes it feels like India is trying to do what we in the west do to hold on to prosperity, the fact is we fuck up the planet and most of it's inhibitants, will India follow the same route? It makes me feel happy to see that clever people think along the same lines and are actually building a base of change and influence. Dare to share....

Need web guy/girl

For our music start-up we need a web developer asap. We are looking for a "HTML" guy/girl. This would be a person with the following skills:

    * HTML/CSS
    * Javascript
    *  AJAX   
    * Some Flash would be useful

Can you shake the trees in your network for good people with these skills? Ideally freelancers, preferably based in Amsterdam, but not required. Project duration between 3 and 10  months from now. Please contact me at : martijn[at]independentip[dot]com
