Apple Isn't The Only One With 1 Billion Downloads

Most of us couldn't help but notice thenews this week that Apple had just completed it's one billionth download, certainly a milestone in the digital music industry. But what about the other company that just celebrated the same? Perhaps you weren't aware that TouchTunes, a maker of digital jukeboxes since 1998, has also downloaded over 1 billion tracks, and they did it with just 16 thousand jukeboxes, as comapred to Apple's customer base of 42 million. >> The digital music weblog

Apple recently announced 1 billion songs purchased on iTunes.   I dug around the Apple press releases and tracked down some of the major iTunes milestones over the last few years.  It's amazing that there have been 500 million songs purchased since July 2005.  That's 500 million songs purchased in 7 months for an average of 71 million songs purchased per month!

Woke up in Devon this morning, getting ready for a day with the teckies

Goodmorning from Devon, a fantastic peace of Eng land full of stunning nature. It's always a pleasure to be here, the people are nice (bit strange ;-) and have such a great area to live in... To get their I flew to Bristol and after a ride of 1 hour the little f erry.

Commodore strikes again?

Gotshrimp? >> I am confused. Not so long ago their was a group of people that launched a digital music download portal (www.yeahronimo.nl), the name of the portal was already a bit confusing, but hey we all wanna scream at some stage.

But this wasn't enough, admitted they were one of the first in this space, they bought the 'what was left overs' of Commodore. Remember having sex the first time on the C64? Anyway today they are back with a lot of stuff. Hardware, music store, mobile games.. Hey I am not the only one that is a bit confused here.

All together I am watching this cookie crumble and don't know what will be next? Maybe a PC, maybe a watercooler with music, maybe a TV station (big sale in Hilversum), a radio station. I don't know, but have to say these people must have Alotta Vagina working for them..

Next to this point of view it's also possible that we have a winner here, let's wait untill that one landed. 2bcontinued....

Space is the PLACE!

After more than SIX years of building on pure discovery it finaly is ready to be taken to the guests. Or better the guests being taken to this very special place in Amsterdam. A dream came true in the middle of Amsterdam and many dreams will follow. Keep the good vibes  ;-)
